Judges Comments:

The Cardrona Distillery – opened on January 25 2016 after four years of planning – is a beautifully designed group of buildings housing the very best in copper stills to make crafted spirits. The schist walls, fragrant rose gardens and picturesque backdrop provide the perfect residence for the world’s most southern whisky distillery – and the only of its size in New Zealand.
