Bern joined ABL in March 2021 and brings more than fifteen years of specialist experience in Health, Safety, and Well-being across complex construction environments.
From commencement through to the end of 2022, Bern played a key role in the direct site management of HSW on the ICL CBD project.
Highly regarded for her leadership style, Bern is an effective people manager who quickly earns the respect of site teams.
She is known for building strong, proactive safety cultures that encourage personal accountability and active participation in safe and healthy work practices.
Bern is passionate about enabling people to make informed, practical decisions through a clear understanding of best practice. Worker well-being is a core focus of her approach, and during her tenure ABL partnered with MATES in Construction to further strengthen mental health awareness and support across the workforce.
Calm under pressure, Bern consistently delivers results in fast-paced environments, applying a common-sense, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and meeting demanding deadlines.
Outside of work, Bern is an enthusiastic tramper who enjoys exploring the diverse landscapes and tramping tracks New Zealand has to offer.
