Bern joined ABL in March 2021 with over 10 year’s fulltime experience in Health, Safety and Well-being.
Since her commencement with ABL until, end of 2022, Bern has primarily worked on the direct site management of HSW at the ICL CBD project.
Through this experience, Bern has proven to be an effective people manager gaining respect of the workers and has built a culture of awareness and a willingness to partake in safe and healthy practices.
Bern has a passion for supporting all to work in a healthy and safety manner, by supporting them make decisions based on knowledge and understanding of good practice.
Well-being for every worker is equally a priority for Bern and since her employment, ABL has partnered with MATES in Construction to educate and facilitate support for those as required.
She has a proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, with a common sense, practical approach to any situation and ability to problem-solve.
During her spare time Bern is a volunteer support worker for Victim Support, assisting those in personal crisis in their hour of need.
Bern is an enthusiastic tramper and loves to spend time exploring many of the amazing tramps NZ has to offer.
