Projects - Countdown Mosgiel

Construction of the new Countdown supermarket in Mosgiel. The project included the structure and fit out of the main supermarket building, all site works, infrastructure works, services connections and carparks. A major redesign of the storm water system was implemented after the project was started and incorporated into the project without impacting the clients expected opening date. 

One of the core deliverables on this project was the fast track programme, and with the project commencing in May we were faced with undertaking the extensive ground work and the buildings structure during the Dunedin winter, this coupled with the late addition of the major storm water redesign put some pressure on programme objectives. 

Careful planning around work sequencing and strong management of subcontractors and procurement was required to meet these objectives and deliver this major local project on time and to the quality of finish expected by the client and consultant team.
