Projects - Fox Glacier Toilets
Fox Glacier Toilets
This unique project was shaped by extreme environmental conditions, a remote location, and innovative construction methods. Designed to be completely self-sufficient, the toilet block services more than 100,000 visitors each year.
It was built close to Fox Glacier, the structure is fully relocatable, with extensive reinforcing and integrated lifting eyes allowing it to be crane-lifted and transported as required.
Construction was carried out in a highly challenging environment, with torrential rain, gale-force winds, and flooding that caused repeated road washouts, making resilience and adaptability central to the project’s success.
