Projects - Banbury Park Dementia Centre Centre

The 1,200m2 Dementia centre is a purpose-built care facility providing a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment that supports the unique needs of people living with dementia.

Designed on a domestic scale rather than an institutional layout, the building accommodates 20 no. private dementia care suites – 10 no. units to each wing. Each unit has its own ensuite bathroom, creating a welcoming setting that promotes dignity, privacy, and familiarity.

The thoughtfully planned design includes an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area that encourages social interaction and participation in everyday routines as well as double doors out to a secure landscaped gardens with circular walking paths. This allow residents to move freely and safely outdoors without encountering dead ends, helping to reduce anxiety and support independence.

The centre's modern construction, combined with experienced dementia care staff, provides a secure, therapeutic environment focused on enhancing residents' wellbeing and quality of life. Clad in cedar and rockcote plastering system giving it a mon appear with timber decks to each of the units.
