Projects - Cardrona Distillery & Museum

Cardrona Distillery & Museum

  • Two story distillery, museum, shop & tasting room
  • Visitor viewing areas for entire spirit making process
  • World's most southern whisky distillery

The Cardrona Distillery is beautifully designed group of buildings housing the very best in copper stills to make beautifully crafted spirits.

The schist walls, fragrant rose gardens and picturesque backdrop provide the perfect residence for the world’s most southern whisky distillery, The Cardrona Distillery and Museum.

Hand made spirits include Single Malt Vodka (one of only two in the world), Gin, Orange Liqueur and, of course Single Malt Whisky.

Visitors are able to see the spirit making process from start to finish. From milling and mashing, to distillation, maturation and bottling.

The distillery construction project, on 3.5ha of land opposite the entrance to the Cardrona Alpine Resort, started in early 2015.

The project has a 264sq m distillery with two floors of fermenters and stills, a grain silo and water cooling tower, a 200sq m bond store for the finished product and a 252sq m museum, shop and tasting room, the latter for hosting tour parties.
