Projects - Bunnings Trade Centre

ABL were appointed early contractor engagement status at the concept stage to construct the first new Bunnings Trade Store in the South Island.

ABL worked closely with CPMC Victoria Limited and their consultants to design and deliver this 6000m2 site development to the Bunnings outline specifications and design briefing.

A challenging site which included ground testing, remediation and contaminated ground. A clear span warehouse with semi closed in yard area.  This 4000m2 structurally design building with 2000m2 of concrete site works for car parking and inwards goods lanes.

The Internal fitout consisted of a large trade counter, staff offices, lunchroom, toilet facilities and a ranking system that spread over the entire buildings area. The structural layout and services co-ordination was essential to ensure the Bunnings fit out team could maximize the building floor area and racking system.

This fast tracked project overcome numerous challenges while keeping the project on track in the middle of a worldwide pandemic with industry supply issues to successfully delivery this development for CPMC Victoria and Bunnings.
